Default Conjure X

Just wondering, what are your thoughts on using a Conjure X on a Warrior build?

I used to question if it was worth changing your secondary for, but that's where I have another question... which skill could compliment your Conjure? Obviously, it would have to be of the same attribute.

I've been experimenting with a Conjure Frost build that also takes advantage of the water attribute points with Frigid armor. Very useful for where I'm at in prophecies, the Ring of Fire.

That got me thinking about the other Conjures, and what non-elite skills could compliment them? Keep in mind, I'm using a sword..

Conjure Frost:
1. Armor of Mist Pros: +33% speed buff, +40 armor Cons: long recharge, shorter duration, 10 energy
2. Frigid Armor Pros: Good armor buff, 5 energy, burning immunity, keep up forever with enough water magic Cons: only armor buff against physical dmg
3. Frost Armor Pros: +40 armor, long duration, 5 energy Cons: long recharge, only against physical dmg

Conjure Lightning:
-didn't find anything fantastic as far as PvE goes, which I'm talking about... Shock? Eh. Whirlwind? Eh...

Conjure Earth: Haha, there is none..

Conjure Flame:
-didn't find anything fantastic as far as PvE goes.

So.. any other ideas? Suggestions on if I should stay Conjure Frost with Frigid Armor? Do you even find Conjures worth it? Just looking for input, and I probably wasted a lot of my time.

You definitely wasted some time looking at earth skills considering 'Conjure Earth' doesn't exist. Heh.

Yup conjure earth would be the best if it would actually exist.

^^^ A little pricey, but good, thanks. Might be nice with Nightfall's Whirlwind Attack, too.

And doh, didn't realize there's no Conjure Earth..

Frigid Armor gave me another totally unrelated idea which I'm sure is popular and I just don't frequent here enough to know about but... Frigid Armor + Cautery Signet. Does it work?

Conjures are awesome for buffing your damage. Just don't turn your build into utter trash by trying to add other ele spells.

Also, self-armor buffs on warriors are a waste.

If you have a decent amount of attribute points in your element, isn't it a waste NOT to take one more ele skill?

But then again, what is the right amount to put into it?

That other ele spell isn't doing much for you. You don't need extra armor or speed in PvE, and damage spells are a joke on warriors. You have more useful skills to bring from the Warrior/PvE skills line.

With a conjure I typically run 12+2 weapon, 8+1 Strength (Tactics if you use that for a shield instead), 10 element.

max weapon, 10 element, rest strength (Savio beat me to it)
I like conjure lightning better, at least you have shock and if you play some weird builds you can use body blow + shell shock (well its fun)

Frigid Armor isnt really about the extra armor as much as the imunity to burning. Being able to stand in lava and fight Ettins can be fun

While pricy I like the conjure + whirlwind since in PvE most everything will attack and be bunched up enough for multiple knockdowns with that.

Shell Shock may also be a nice compliment now.

Shell Shock is pretty nice.

I've been adding Shell Shock to my Paragon hero recently....since almost everything in PvE has more than 60 armor, it seems to help quite a bit.

[skill]Ebon Dust Aura[/skill] more than fills the role of "Conjure Earth".

Yeah Whirlwind from the air line can be fun, I used to use it with [skill]Steelfang Slash[/skill] for some adrenaline gain, and as most of the time stupid Enemy AI warriors, sins and dervishes attack all the time its practically a definite KD, good for keeping them off your casters backs.
Other than that, theres not a lot, some people like shock, I'd rather take whirlwind in PvE. The armor spells can be ok, but its not really worth it imo.

Agreed, in Hell's Precipe the Monk can worry about healing the Mending Wammo on fire next to me (honest to God, the Wammo was using Mending).

Needless to say, we failed that mission.

I'm not sure it does anymore with melee weapons. I can burst stuff into flame just fine with fiery ranged weapons and projectiles, but with a fiery sword, they never seem to burst into flames anymore.

Mark of Rodgort works just fine. The question is, why do you want to put a 15e spell on a warrior?

15energy is not bad on a war as long as you dont try to spam it. With just a +5energy weapon you can manage to cast both the conjure and mark then rely on adren attacks, by the time the conjure wears off youll have your energy backup, and Mark lasts longenough to clear most mobs in PvE.

If you have a decent monk with you, and you always should, you can use Raident insignias and maybe a Rune of Attunement to boost your energy to 30+, then the 15e seams very doable.
